About Cengiz Köroğlu

Cengiz Koroglu is born 01 september 1973 in Kosova ex Yugoslavia, nowadays known as Serbia.
Together with normal education he attended 6 year half-timed music school in his birth city Mitrovica, and learned pretty much classical guitar and basics of electric guitar thanks to his teacher Petar Rakiç. He played with few local bands of which “Horoskop” was the most popular. After graduating gymnasium in 1991 in Mitrovica, he moved to Istanbul Turkey for studying “Journalism and Mass Comunications” in Istanbul University in 1992. Same year started playing guitar in local band formed by Engin Yörükoglu the drummer of well known, awarded band Mogollar. After few years of playing in “Jazz Stop” bar (also owned by Engin Yörükoglu), and recording some of gigs with his Sony Walkman, his sound engineer skils were discovered by Taner Öngür (bass player of Mogollar) and so in 1996 he was empoyed as sound engineer in FT studios Istanbul, owned by Fuat Güner, member of one of the most popular bands in Turkey - MFO.
Here he worked with many artists such as Mazhar Alanson, Fuat Güner, Fahir Atakoglu, Sibel Tüzün, Deniz Arcak as a recording and mixing engineer and as guitar and bass player. In 1999 he formed STUDIO 74 together with Deniz Güngör (popular studio and tour drummer, his close friend) and Sezen Köroglu (sound engineer, his brother). In STUDIO 74 he produced many albums including some very popular ones like: Feridun Düzagaç (Tüm Haklari Yalnizligima Aittir – 2001, Orijial Altyazili 2003), Kiraç (Kayip Sehir – 2003, Benim Yolum – 2007), Funda Arar (Alagül – 2002, Sevda Yanigi - 2003).
